The family was also distinguished for its notable philanthropic and patronage activities.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the 20th century, it underwent significant transformations and changes of ownership, eventually becoming the exhibition venue for the Fondazione Palazzo Bricherasio.<\/p>\n<p>After nearly a decade of decline, in 1994 the entire building was purchased by Alberto Alessio who, following a careful conservation and renovation project carried out by architects Campanino, Dal Bianco, and Cinquetti, transformed it into the headquarters of the Palazzo Bricherasio Foundation.
