A 1930s villa, located just a few meters from the urban center of Strambino, characterized by distinctive architectural and spatial elements closely tied to the tastes and needs of the upper bourgeoisie of the time—enlightened entrepreneurs who played a crucial role in the economic development and social growth of Piedmont in those years. The residence was therefore not merely a home, but also a workplace, a space for representation, and a symbol of status.
Capturing the unique features of the existing building and adapting them to new needs, while preserving historical memory, is the cornerstone of the Azario 24 project
The project involves the subdivision into six residential units within a prestigious new condominium setting, recovering the attic volume and developing a specific energy efficiency plan. The intervention focuses on reducing consumption through the installation of an external thermal insulation system, the renovation of the roof, and the integration of a heat pump powered by renewable energy produced by solar panels.
Although the intervention involves significant structural work, the project is aimed at preserving the overall architectural appearance, without altering it, instead enhancing its existing monumental character
All six apartments feature spacious interiors, private outdoor areas (gardens for the ground-floor units and large terraces for the first- and second-floor units), and additional amenities: a laundry room in the basement, a gym, an outdoor swimming pool, and a multi-sport court, all located within the large rear garden.
